About Us

We create, inspire, and educate young performers to achieve their dreams as they twirl, dance, and flip into their futures.

For over thirty years, Gina’s Gems has instructed and inspired hundreds of aspiring dancers and baton twirlers across southeast Georgia. 2021 marks our 36th year as Wayne County’s premier dance studio.

Gina Jeffords has been the director of Gina’s Gems for over 35 years. In that time, our students have gone on to win national, and international championships. They have had the opportunities to join and perform with some of the nation’s top university marching bands, from the University of Georgia, to Georgia Southern to Florida State University.

Gina Jeffords - Director

Since the age of 6, Gina Jeffords has dreamed and trained to be the best dance and baton teacher in the southeast. She started teaching for the local recreation departments while studying under different instructors across the country. This experience led Gina to open a store front which has been operating for the last 38 years with no signs of slowing down. This childhood dream has been a way for Gina to impart skills and knowledge to help children and young adults be the best version of themselves both in the gym and in life. Dubbed “Gina’s Gems” the school helps, in Gina’s words, “set kids up for success, helps them set and reach goals, and develop good work ethic and self-esteem”.
